Mark A. Smith was born in Pensacola, Florida, in 1969, the son of an Officer in the United States Navy whose travels took the family from coast to coast and as far away as Japan. Mark began high school at Bruton High School, in Williamsburg, Virginia, before transferring and graduating from Mira Mesa High School in San Diego, California, in 1987.
Mark thereafter attended and graduated from Christopher Newport University in 1993 and then attend Mississippi College School of Law, graduating with honors in 1996. Following graduation from law school, Mark returned to Virginia and has remained a resident of Hampton Roads ever since, currently residing with his wife and son in Yorktown Virginia.
Mark began his legal career in Hampton, Virginia, where he practiced law for nine years before becoming a founding member of the law firm of Reichle & Smith, P.C. in Yorktown, Virginia, in 2004. In 2009 Reichle & Smith, P.C. changed its name to Mark A. Smith, P.C., continuing in the same location and serving clients throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia, to include Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown, Williamsburg, James City County and Gloucester.
